Oppenheimer & Co, a wealth management subsidiary of New York-listed Oppenheimer Holdings, has appointed David Morochnick as executive director and branch manager of the firm’s Scottsdale-based branch in Arizona.

In his new role Morochnick will be focusing on growing Oppenheimer’s franchise in Scottsdale. He will be working alongside Bob Okin, the firm’s executive vice president, Oppenheimer said in a statement.

Morochnick joins the firm from UBS, where he most recently headed up two of its Florida offices.

Prior to this he held various positions for the firm in different locations, including its New York headquarters and Scottsdale, Arizona branch.

"I think that David's understanding of how to motivate the financial advisors and staff who report to him, his enthusiasm, his solid grounding in compliance and his understanding of the Arizona investment community will allow him to achieve his goals in Arizona," said Okin.
