Onboarding Specialist Opens New Office In Ticino As Expansion Continues

Appway, the onboarding specialist firm, has opened a new office in Ticino, Switzerland, which is expected to be home to 30 employees and be a training centre for developers, the firm has announced.

The firm has done business in the Ticino area since 2006; the new office means it will significantly expand its presence there, the firm said in a statement.

Founded in 2003, the Swiss company is headquartered in Zürich; as well as its new Ticino offices, it has offices in Geneva, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore.

“The extension of Appway in the Boccalino Valley has made provision for a strong development centre in an area which is developing locally. This will allow us to offer embedded solutions for Appway customers around the world,” Andrea Buzzi, regional head of Ticino at Appway, said in a statement.

The wealth management industry is turning to more technologically-driven ways of bringing a client on board, as compliance costs – such as know-your-client checks and anti-money laundering tests – become more onerous.
