Ogier Makes Another Raft Of Internal Partner Appointments

The offshore law firm Ogier has made a number of internal partner appointments and expanded its team with an external appointment in anticipation of continued growth.
Christopher Russell, head of the litigation and insolvency team in the Cayman Islands, has been made partner, Ogier Cayman; Angus Davison, a specialist in investment funds, structured finance and corporate and commercial law, has been made partner, Ogier Cayman; and Nicholas Plowman, who focuses on large cross border and multi-jurisdictional transactions as well as private acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures, has been made partner, Ogier Hong Kong.
Nick Rogers rejoins the firm as partner, Ogier Cayman, after having spent around four years working at another offshore law firm. He first joined the firm in 2001. In previous roles he has advised clients in Europe, the US and Asia on acquisitions, securities offerings and general corporate matters.
The appointments come after a period of rapid growth for Ogier Group, which has doubled its size over the past five years and now has offices in Bahrain, Tokyo, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Ireland, Jersey, London, Montevideo and New Zealand.
Last October the firm also announced the appointments of Jane Pearce, Paul Perris, Nicholas Plowman, Sally Edwards and Edward Mackereth to the partnership.
