The offshore law firm Ogier has bolstered its legal and fiduciary services businesses with the addition of two non-executive directors.
The first of the appointees, Lesley MacDonagh, was a managing partner at the law firm Lovells for over a decade and has also held several non-executive director positions. “Ogier has enjoyed substantial growth in recent years and Lesley and John’s knowledge and guidance will help support continued future expansion of the business, both through continued growth of our existing businesses and by taking advantage of market opportunities,” Nick Kershaw, Ogier’s group chief executive, said in a statement.
In other recent developments, in late September Ogier moved to new enlarged premises in Jersey to accommodate its future expansion plans. The newly-built premises will house 500 current employees. The capacity of the building is however 700 in the workspace and 200 in the client suite, giving a total capacity of 900.
Ogier’s current global headcount is 800. As well as Jersey, Guernsey and London, the firm is also present in Bahrain, the British Virgin Islands, the Caymans, Hong Kong, Ireland and Tokyo.
