New Office
Offshore Law Firm To Open In Brazil

Conyers Dill & Pearman has opened a Brazilian branch, Conyers Dill e Pearman ( Brazil) Serviços de Consultoria in São Paulo, paving the way for the firm to provide offshore legal services from Brazil. This move makes Conyers the first offshore law firm to establish a physical presence in Brazil as it continues to expand its global network.
Two Conyers partners have relocated to São Paulo. Alan Dickson will manage the new office and is joined by Benjamin Dyer.
Mr Dickson has relocated from the Bermuda office where he has spent the last eight years practising in the corporate department, following 16 years practicing corporate and securities law in Canada. Mr Dyer has practised with Conyers for the last eight years in the corporate departments of the Bermuda and Hong Kong offices.
The São Paulo office will initially focus on general corporate, company and commercial work, with particular emphasis on investment funds, public company listings, initial public offerings and holding company incorporations.
Conyers chairman John Collis said: “ Brazil is a dynamic market, and establishing a physical presence here provides a distinct advantage to our São Paulo-based clients and referrers of business. It strengthens our ability to provide the full range of our services to clients in their own business environment in a highly personalised manner that is conducive to local conditions.”
The addition of an office in São Paulo brings the total number of Conyers’ worldwide offices to eleven.
