Offshore Law Firm Names New Partner

Offshore law firm Carey Olsen is strengthening its corporate and finance team in Jersey by making Guy Coltman a partner in this practice area.
Mr Coltman specialises in corporate work focusing on mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures and general corporate advice.
“The addition of a new partner to our corporate and finance team is another positive step forward for the firm, and in Guy we believe we have found the right person to add real value to our offering in what is an increasingly important area of business for us,” said managing partner Alex Ohlsson.
Prior to joining Carey Olsen in September 2006, Mr Coltman practised corporate law with an emphasis on private and public company mergers and acquisitions at the London office of the international law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, and latterly with another law firm in Jersey.
Carey Olsen is the largest law firm in the Channel Islands and acts for a number of institutional clients in large, multi-jurisdictional transactions, as well as for governments and corporates and high net worth individuals. With more than 130 lawyers, the firm offers a full range of legal services, including corporate and commercial, funds, banking and finance, trusts and fiduciary, commercial and residential property, employment, restructuring, litigation and dispute resolution.
