OCBC Bank Names Singapore Consumer Services Head

Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation has appointed a new consumer services head in Singapore.

Effective 1 November 2012, Dennis Tan takes the role of head of consumer financial services Singapore and group premier banking. Tan joined the bank in 2009 as head of branch and group premier banking. Prior to that, he spent 16 years at Citibank Singapore, where he was a managing director for sales and distribution head of the global consumer banking unit.

In addition to his new post, Tan also joins the OCBC Bank management committee. He reports directly to the chief operating officer.

Tan is recognised for his pivotal role in the relaunch of the premier banking business in Singapore, Malaysia, China and Indonesia in 2011, which resulted in an increased client base and revenue. He also led the team to triple its bancassurance business within two years.

OCBC Bank is one of the oldest banks in Singapore. Its key markets include Malaysia, Indonesia and Greater China.
