Objectway Group, the technology and software firm serving financial institutions including wealth managers, has collected an award honouring Italian companies working in the UK. It recently received an “Elite Award”, which is part of the annual UK – Italy Business Awards programme.

The firm, with an interest held by Futurimpresa SGR, an institutional fund comprising the Chambers of Commerce of Milan, Bergamo, Brescia and Como, was awarded the Elite Award for its growth strategy in the UK market. This particular prize has been awarded for the first time this year and is dedicated to companies that are part of the Italian Stock Exchange ELITE programme, aimed to support unlisted small and medium-sized enterprises in their growth and internationalisation strategy.

Last year, Objectway Group opened a branch in London, serving clients such as JM Finn, Brewin Dolphin, Ingenious Asset Management and Speirs & Jeffrey). As a whole, the business says ObjectWay has grown to €40 million (around $54.5 million) in revenue with earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation of more than 20 per cent.

A ceremony was recently held in Milan, attended by Michael Fallon, UK minister of state for business and energy, as well as Christopher Prentice, UK ambassador to Italy. Other luminaries included Raffeaele Jeresalmi, chief executive of the Italian Stock Exchange.

Shaun Crowley, UK Sales director, Objectway Financial Software, is a speaker at the forthcoming Breakfast Briefing – organised by ClearView Financial Media (publisher of this news service) – the subject of How Mobile Are Your Advisors? How Engaged Are Your Clients? This event is on 6 March this year. For full details on how to register, click here.
