NY Wealth Manager Expands To US West Coast

Evercore Wealth Management, which recently bought the special fiduciary services unit of Bank of America, has launched a new San Francisco base.

The office team will include new hires William Vaughn and Judith Moses, both equity portfolio managers and Charles Swindells, a senior advisor. Two as yet unnamed partners will also join in July.

The new appointees have an extensive network of client relationships in the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout the West Coast, the firm said in a statement. Mr Swindells previously served as Western Region vice chairman at US Trust Bank of America Private Wealth Management.

New York-headquartered EWM was launched in 2008 by Jeff Maurer, former chairman of US Trust Corporation, in partnership with investment manager Evercore Partners. The firm’s team is comprised of 20 portfolio managers and wealth management advisors, including the San Francisco team. On 30 April, it managed client assets totalling $747 million.
