Northstar Investment names new portfolio manager

Tax attorney Farrell joins Denver advisory from Ohio-based Dorman Farrell. Denver-based private-client asset manager Northstar Investment Advisors has hired Charles Farrell as a senior portfolio manager. He'll provide investment and estate-planning guidance in addition to managing portfolios.

Clients first

"We are thrilled to have Charlie join the Northstar team," says Northstar principal Frederick Taylor. "He will provide the outstanding levels of service and advice that our clients expect, and I look forward to his leadership in helping us grow our business."

Farrell joins Northstar from Medina, Ohio-based Dorman Farrell, which he co-founded in 1999. He has also practiced tax law in Cleveland and in Denver.

"Northstar has a great team of investment professionals and a business philosophy that puts the client first," says Farrell. "That's a powerful combination and it gives us a competitive advantage in the industry."

Northstar manages more than $250 million in assets, mainly for high-net-worth individuals. -FWR
