Northern Trust has appointed Gerry Brady as managing director of its international fund administration operations in Dublin. Mr Brady joins from Capita Financial Group based in Dublin where he has been managing director for Ireland since 2005. Previously, he worked for Bank of Bermuda, latterly as regional managing director for Europe and Bank of Bermuda, Ireland. The company’s Dublin office, which currently employs over 450 people, services over 550 funds with approximately $100 billion in assets under administration. Concurrently, Vic Holmes, who has been managing director in Dublin, relocates to Guernsey in the role of chief executive of Northern Trust’s Channel Island businesses and managing director of Northern Trust International Fund Administration Services (Guernsey). Wilson Leech, head of Northern Trust Global Fund Services business, said: “Northern Trust is now one of the largest, fastest growing fund administrators in Europe, with expertise in servicing a broad range of fund types. Gerry is joining an expanding operation in Ireland and both he and Vic will have the important role of managing the growth of our Dublin and Channel Islands businesses, whilst ensuring that Northern Trust remains at the forefront of the international fund servicing industry.” At the end of last year, Northern Trust had assets under custody of $3.5 trillion, and assets under investment management of $697 billion.
