Northern Trust Sets Up Senior Sales Position For Greater China

Northern Trust Asset Management has created a new senior sales position to focus on its businesses in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

Northern Trust Asset Management, the US-headquartered asset manager, has created a new sales position that would focus on Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. 

Benze Lam has been named head of the Greater China region, to be responsible for the asset management busines strategy across Asia-Pacific and, in particular, Greater China. He will be based in Hong Kong and report to Bo Kratz, head of the Asia-Pacific at Northern Trust AM.

Prior to the appointment, Lam was the head of sales for China offshore at UBS Global Asset Management, where he focused on sovereign wealth investors and qualified domestic institutional investors in China. He also worked for FIL Investment Management, State Street and Morgan Stanley.

Northern Trust's Hong Kong asset management hub provides global equity portfolio management and global equity dealing, as well as investment strategy and relationship management. It has representatives operating in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore.
