Northern Trust Names VP For San Francisco Office

Northern Trust has named Richard Leider as vice president and wealth strategist for its San Francisco office.

Leider steps in from Tano Capital, where he led the global real estate and private equity practice. Earlier, he headed his own institutional asset management advisory firm, the Leider Group. He reports directly to Tim Geraghty, the region president.

The appointment adds to the string of hires the asset management firm has made over the last weeks, which include Brian Donovan as managing director of its Stamford office and Joanne Stringer as managing director for Washington DC. The company has offices in 18 US states and 16 internationally and records $4.4 trillion in assets under custody as of 31 March 2011.
