Northern Trust Names New Jersey Head

Chicago-based Northern Trust has named Paul Guilbert as the new head of its Jersey office.

In his new role Mr Guilbert will oversee all aspects of service delivery to clients who receive offshore fund administration support from the Jersey office, Northern Trust said in a statement. He is also charged with growing the depth and breadth of the bank’s Global Fund Services business in Jersey.

Mr Guilbert has been with Northern Trust’s Guernsey business for 13 years, having originally joined its private equity fund administration division on the island in 1997. He was subsequently appointed head of the bank's global private equity fund administration business and will retain this role in addition to heading the Jersey office, supported by the heads of private equity fund administration for each jurisdiction.

“Paul brings a wealth of senior management experience and detailed industry and technical knowledge of the offshore fund business to this important role… As Northern Trust’s fund servicing business continues to grow, Paul will have a crucial role in ensuring that our Jersey operation continues to grow in line with our high expectations,” said Vic Holmes, chief executive of Northern Trust’s Channel Islands operations.

Mr Guilbert is a member of Northern Trust’s Channel Islands executive committee and a member of the board of Northern Trust’s Guernsey fund administration company.
