Northern Trust Names Head Of UK Consultant Relations

The Chicago-headquartered firm’s is gearing for growth in the UK.

Northern Trust Asset Management has hired Rosina Barnett, previously of Fidelity International, in the newly-created role of head of UK consultant relations. 

Barnett was a consultant relations director at both Fidelity International and BlackRock. According to her LinkedIn profile, she spent nearly four years at the former and over five years at the latter. She has also worked at Legal & General Investment Management and brings more than 15 years of asset management experience.

Based in London, Barnett will focus on further developing relationships with investment consultants with an emphasis on factor investing, environmental, social and governance investing, liquidity solutions and custom passive exposures.

“We are seeing both ESG and factor investing growing in importance for UK pension funds – areas where Northern Trust has significant expertise. Rosina’s knowledge and expertise as well as those of our broader team will be invaluable as we deliver these and other solutions to UK institutional investors and their consultants,” said Hazel McNeilage, managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
