Northern Trust Appoints Duo To Family, Private Investment Offices Team

The Chicago-headquartered banking group is seeking to enhance its EMEA footprint with two senior hires from RBC and Santander.

Northern Trust has hired Vignesh Vijayakumar and Yovan Dabee in London to serve ultra-high net worth families and their family offices and foundations across Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Vijayakumar joins from Royal Bank of Canada, where he was an associate director. He will take on the newly-created role of senior relationship manager for Northern Trust’s global family and private investment offices group, responsible for supporting the group’s ultra-high net worth clients across EMEA.

Dabee joins from Santander, where he was a senior private banker. He will serve as a senior wealth strategist, responsible for increasing awareness of Northern Trust’s wealth management solutions across EMEA. He has also worked at Morgan Stanley, Barclays and BNP Paribas.

“Vignesh and Yovan bring years of experience and understand the sophisticated needs of families and their advisors and will ensure we continue to be well positioned to best help our clients meet their sophisticated needs,” said Lesley Hodgson, head of Northern Trust’s global family and private investment offices group in EMEA.

The global family and private investment offices group, which was set up in 1982, works with over 400 families worldwide, with average assets per family under custody of $770 million.
