Saxo Modern Wealth Management, an online investment platform which is part of Denmark's Saxo Bank, has launched a model portfolio service for UK clients.

The service is designed to help mid- and long-term self-directed retail investors build diverse portfolios, through funds, unit trusts or exchange-traded funds, Saxo said. A specific tool on Saxo MWM's platform, Ideator, helps clients determine their general risk profile. The platform was launched in the UK in March this year.

The portfolios can be accessed via ISA and SIPP accounts which are provided by European Pensions Management as well as through general investment accounts on the MWM platform.

“To ensure the portfolios are unbiased we have appointed Morningstar Investment Consultants as our advisors," said Karsten Henriksen, head of MWM for the UK market.
