Nordea Asset Management Brings In New Leadership

The Nordic asset manager has appointed from within to fill the top position.

Nordea Asset Management has appointed Nils Bolmstrand to be its new head, replacing Christian Hyldahl who left in October to become chief executive of ATP.
 
Based in Stockholm, Bolmstrand currently heads up Nordea Life & Pensions, having previously held other managerial positions within Nordea Asset Management, as well as at the asset management arm of Skandia and Old Mutual. He will start his new position on 1 January, 2017.
 
“Nils is the right person to maintain the very strong momentum and development of Nordea Asset Management,” said Snorre Storset, head of Nordea Wealth Management. “He has the competencies and experience within the asset management business, and he has strong leadership and personal skills.”
 
Nordea Asset Management had €215 billion ($229 billion) of assets under management as of the end of the third quarter of 2016.
