NN Investment Partners Names Alternative Credit Head

The Netherlands-based asset manager has boosted its fixed income expertise.

NN Investment Partners has appointed Gabriella Kindert to lead its alternative credit boutique.

Kindert has over 20 years of experience in banking and asset management, having most recently served as a partner at investment advisory firm Investfair. She is also a member of the supervisory board at Mizuho Bank, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Based in Amsterdam, Kindert will be responsible for illiquid fixed income strategies including residential real estate, corporate private debt, project finance and commercial real estate loans. This will include expanding existing activities towards a broader range of clients through new products and new lending activities. The alternative credit boutique has €14 billion ($15.5 billion) of assets under management.

The appointment follows NN IP’s promotion of Bart Bakx and Lennart van Mierlo to head of residential real estate and head of commercial real estate lending respectively.

“Ongoing investment opportunities across alternative credit present unique opportunities for investors given the current low yielding environment for traditional fixed income,” said Han Rijken, head of global credit at NN IP.

“The development of our alternative credit capabilities will strengthen our ability to add value for our clients. Due to the nature of alternative credit, it is important to make the asset class easily accessible. We are extending our current offering by expanding our capabilities in private debt for institutional investors soon to make the added value broadly available.”
