Newton Adds New Analyst For Global Fixed Income Team

Newton Investment Management, part of BNY Mellon Investment Management, has appointed Khuram Sharih to the newly-created role of high yield analyst in its global fixed income team.

Sharih joins Newton from Cairn Capital, where he was a senior credit analyst working with portfolio managers to devise investment strategies for long biased UCITS funds, high yield credit funds, and CLOs. Before that, he was at Habib Bank, where he served as vice president in its investment banking and advisory team, based in Pakistan. Sharih has also held analyst roles at Denali Capital and JP Morgan.

Reporting to Parmeshwar Chadha - lead manager of more than £1 billion (around $1.5 billion) in assets under management in high yield bond positions - and working alongside Sebastien Poulin, in his new role, Sharih will be responsible for analysing global high yield investment opportunities aligned to Newton’s thematic investment process.

Newton’s eleven-strong global fixed income team currently manages £7.2 billion ($10.9 billion) in assets under management.
