Newly-Hired Wealth Manager Leaves FirstRand In Jersey

FirstRand Wealth Management has parted company with newly hired wealth manager Mark Taft only two months after he joined the firm, according to Citywire.

Mr Taft was recruited by FirstRand last November as an advisor with the goal of providing bespoke solutions to private clients. The appointment was part of the firm’s move to expand its business in Jersey.

Prior to joining FirstRand, Mr Taft was a private banker at Coutts. FirstRand did not comment on the matter, citing confidentiality issues, the report said.

FirstRand did not immediately return enquiries from WealthBriefing on the matter.
