Alexandra & James, the New York wealth management and family office firm, has hired Tara Gauthier as a portfolio manager and relationship manager, with immediate effect.

Gauthier brings over 15 years of investment experience and previously served as a portfolio manager at US Trust Company. Prior to that, she was with Harvard Management Company, the subsidiary of the Harvard School of Management which manages the endowment. 

In her new role, Gauthier will be serving high net worth individuals and conducting research on investment ideas. She will also be a member of the firm's investment committee. Gauthier reports directly to Michelle Smith, co-founder and director of Alexandra & James Wealth Management. 

Alexandra & James was established in 2007 by Smith and Alexandra Lebenthal as a multi-family office serving the needs of families with between $5 million and $40 million in assets.
