The firm, which has explained its approach to this news service recently, has named a CIO who has worked at firms including BMO Global Asset Management and ABN AMRO.

London-based digital wealth management platform Welrex has appointed Chris Brils as its chief investment officer.

Brils, who has 25 years experience in portfolio management, specialising in high-yield credit and ESG, has a track record of managing global and European high-yield and crossover portfolios. He holds a master's degree from Nyenrode Business University in the Netherlands.

Past experience includes senior asset management roles in firms such as BMO Global Asset Management, Brookfield Asset Management, and ABN AMRO.
