New Singapore Office, ASEAN Fund As Atlantis Takes Deutsche Manager

Atlantis Investment Management, an independent Asian equity specialist, has hired Joseph Wat as a fund advisor. He will be establishing an office for Atlantis in Singapore and will be launching a fund focused on the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries later in 2008.

Mr Wat joins from Deutsche Asset Management with more than 15 years experience as a manager of Asia ex- Japan investments. Before joining Deutsche in 2004 he was an associate director at Invesco Asset Management.

He will report to Tony Jordan, co-chairman of Atlantis Investment Management and fund manager to the Atlantis Asian Recovery fund.

Mr Jordan said: “Joseph has the experience needed to unlock the huge potential which the ASEAN region holds for investors. He has an excellent track record and will be a great addition to the Atlantis Asia Ex-Japan team.

“As an Asian equity specialist we are dedicated to providing investors with a range of funds that invest in the region and believe an ASEAN fund will be an exciting addition to our range.”
