New Senior Vice President, Derivatives Head Named At SGX

The Singapore Exchange has appointed Michael Syn as senior vice president and head of derivatives, with effect from 1 March.

Syn, who joins the SGX from DBS Asset Management where he was chief operating officer, will lead the exchange's trading and distribution strategies. He will report to Gan Seow Ann, the president of the SGX.

The Singapore Exchange is a critical element for foreign investors seeking to take part in the city-state's rapid growth, as well as for Asian issuers looking to enter the international space. The SGX provides an extensive suite of securities, derivatives, and commodities products, making it one of the larger international exchanges in the Asian region.
