Hotbed, a supplier of commercial property and private equity investment services to high net worth individuals, has appointed Johnny Markham as investment director in its commercial property division. Mr Markham has worked for British American Tobacco, Royal Bank of Scotland, Fujitsu and Centrica and has held senior positions at property companies including Nelson Bakewell and Chesterton. He joins Hotbed’s London office from Gulf Real Estate, a private property company with Kuwaiti high net worth backing, where he was responsible for sourcing investment opportunities and establishing an offshore capability for investment into the UK market. Hotbed sources commercial property and private equity opportunities and manages investments post-completion on its members’ behalf. Investors can select which deals they wish to participate in and can invest in standard units of £25,000.
