New President for New York Alternatives Manager

New York-based alternative investment manager Cadogan Management has appointed John Trammell as president. He will work alongside chief executive Stuart Leaf to manage and oversee the firm's business. Cadogan, which is 70 per cent owned by Fortis Investments, is a provider of alternative investment management products to institutional and family office investors, and has $4.7 billion in assets under management. Mr Trammell has extensive experience in investment, institutional sales, operations and research. He spent the past seven years at independent fund of funds Investor Select Advisors, most recently as chief executive. At Investor Select Advisors, he oversaw strategic planning and day-to-day business functions, including linking the research, sales, administration and legal aspects of the company. In particular, he helped to build up the global institutional business with Japanese and other large global institutions and distributors. Prior to Investor Select Advisors, Mr Trammell worked at Argonaut Capital Management, where he was chief operating officer. At Cadogan, he will seek to help the firm increase the potential of the combined Cadogan and Fortis Investments brand globally and have a pivotal role in co-ordinating business activities between the two companies.
