California’s Santa Barbara Bank & Trust has hired Susan Rogers as vice president and personal trust manager.

Rogers latterly worked at US Bank as a senior vice president and managing director, before which she spent five years as a senior fiduciary officer with Union Bank’s personal trust group in San Francisco.

Earlier this month, the private wealth management arm of Santa Barbara Bank & Trust persuaded Connie Young to return as a private client advisor after two years at City National Bank.

Young, who will be based at Santa Barbara Bank & Trust’s private wealth management office in Ventura, CA, will be advising high net worth clients on financial planning, investment management and trust issues, as well as providing deposit and credit services.

In March UnionBanCal Corporation, another California-based firm, along with its Union Bank subsidiary, agreed to buy SBB&T’s parent firm, Pacific Capital Bancorp. The cash deal valued Pacific Capital at $46 per share.

Santa Barbara Bank & Trust has 45 branches on the Central Coast and is a nationally chartered regional bank providing commercial banking, private wealth management and community banking.
