Henderson Global Investors, the London-based asset manager, has launched an online platform called HGi for its investment trust business.

The new platform will allow investors to register and follow the firm's investment trusts and investment companies as well as their respective fund manager. It will include content such as announcements, fund manager commentary and video, macroeconomic analysis and comment, and educational guides. Investors can comment on and share content using Twitter and other social media

The asset management firm had £63.6 billion ($100.6 billion) in assets under management at the end of June this year.
