The international division of Close, which is ultimately part of the Close Brothers Group, has appointed a new managing director for its Guernsey and Isle of Man-based banking businesses.

Graham Sheward joins from Zurich Bank International, where he was managing director. He has over twenty-five years' experience, including having been head of NatWest Expatriate Service in the Isle of Man.

“I am delighted to have Graham on board. His appointment underlies commitment to our strategic plans regarding the development of our banking operations and competitive position,” said Andrew Henton, head of international businesses for Close.

Close provides international banking services for private and corporate clients. Close has said it aims to develop further its capabilities as an offshore bank.
