New Head Targets Wealth For US Analytics Business

Interactive Data Corporation, the US financial information and analytics vendor, has appointed a leader for its new business to focus on wealth management and electronic trading.
Jeffrey Banker has been made executive vice president of Real-Time Market Data and Trading Solutions Group, an organisation that merges IDC’s eSignal, Managed Solutions, and Real-Time Services businesses.
Reporting to Ray D’Arcy, president and chief executive of IDC, Mr Banker will coordinate management from the three businesses. IDC says the new group will integrate its real-time market data and hosted technology services to benefit from opportunities in the wealth management and electronic trading sectors.
“I am excited to take on this new leadership role. Financial institutions are grappling with a myriad of technical and budgetary challenges that are impacting their latency sensitive trading, wealth management and other front office operations,” said Mr Banker.
Prior to this appointment Mr Banker was managing director of IDC strategic market development. Before joining the company he worked for Gomez Performance Networks, now a division of Compuware, and Fidelity Investments.
