People Moves
New Head Of Canada At Edward Jones

Gary Reamey, the country leader for Canada at Edward Jones, will step down from his post at the end of 2011. He will be replaced by David Lane.
Reamey retires from the role after a 35-year career but will remain a senior partner with the firm and a member of the senior management team until the end of 2012. Lane, who joined the firm in 1987 and became a partner in 1998, will take over his position and will also join the senior management team. Lane moved to Canada in 2010 to lead the financial advisor recruiting, training and development unit.
Reamey has led the Canada operation since 1994, when he spearheaded its launch as the first international offering from the US firm. Edward Jones now has around 600 branch offices in Canada and nearly 1,500 associates.
"We owe Gary tremendous gratitude for his 18 years of leadership and the hard work he has invested into our international expansion," said Jim Weddle, managing partner at the firm.
