New CEO For Pictet's Singapore-Based Business

There is a new CEO at the Swiss private bank's operations in Singapore.
Pictet’s banking operation in Asia has a new chief executive,
Dominique Jooris.
Jooris is the new CEO of Bank Pictet & Cie (Asia), the Pictet
Group’s private banking entity in Singapore, effective from 11
July, Pictet said in a
statement.
Claude Haberer, CEO Asia-Pacific, Pictet Wealth Management, had
been supervising directly Pictet Wealth Management's activities
in South and Southeast Asia since the departure of the previous
local CEO in October 2015, a spokesperson for the firm told this
publication.
In addition to his regulatory functions as CEO, Jooris will lead
development of private wealth management for South and Southeast
Asia. He will report to Haberer.
Previously, Jooris worked at Goldman Sachs, where he held several
prominent positions from 2005, most recently as managing director
with responsibility for credit capital markets for Asia, working
out of Hong Kong.
He has more than twenty years’ banking experience, including a
decade in Asia. During the more recent period he looked after
clients across the region, developing solutions for their
financing and tax-related needs at a corporate level and gaining
experience of family-run businesses. He began his career at JP
Morgan with the merger and acquisition group.
Bank Pictet & Cie (Asia) has been operating in Singapore
since 1995, securing a merchant bank licence in 2004. Pictet
Wealth Management has more than 110 staff employed in Singapore
and 90 in Hong Kong, where it has been present since 1986 and was
awarded a banking licence in 2012.
