New CEO At Degroof Petercam Luxembourg; New COO Of Group

The latest moves and appointments at Degroof Petercam.

Petercam has appointed Gautier Bataille as the new CEO of
Banque Degroof Petercam Luxembourg, starting in August, and Filip
Depaz as group chief operating officer.
Bataille will succeed Bruno Houdmont who is going to step down
from his current role to pursue new opportunities outside the
group, the firm said in a statement.
Bataille has an extensive career within the group in various
managerial positions, the firm added. He is currently an
executive member of the board of directors of Degroof Petercam
and group head of business development. He is also a member of
the board of directors of Banque Degroof Petercam Luxembourg, the
firm said.
With his experience and expertise across different domains, the
firm believes that Bataille is well positioned to take over from
Houdmont to lead the bank and its business in Luxembourg in the
next stage of its development.
Welcoming the move, Hugo Lasat, CEO of Degroof Petercam, said he
looked forward to working with Bataille in his new scope of
responsibilities, adding that “Luxembourg is of strategic
importance for Degroof Petercam and is a vector for growth.”
Filip Depaz, who has also been appointed as group COO, will
join the executive committee, reporting to Lasat. He will join
the management board and the board of directors of Degroof
Petercam, overseeing cross-functional activities including
business and market operations, data strategy and steering,
transformation office, internal control steering and corporate
banking services, the firm said.
Depaz brings more than 20 years of experience in transformation
management and operational performance optimisation, the firm
added. He was finance transformation programme manager at Athora
Group, a life insurance company active in the European markets.
Prior to that, he was chief operating officer and member of the
executive committee of Immobel.
From 1999 to 2019, he developed his career at Delta Loyd Life
Belgium where he was COO, CEO, and a member of the executive
committee and the board, the firm added.
Lasat said: “I am confident that as an innovative and seasoned
executive he will help us manage our growth efficiently and
pursue the improvement of our integrated client oriented
operating models.”

Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Hong Kong, serving
private and institutional investors.
