Multrees Expands With Two Hires

Multrees Investor Services continues to expand with two senior hires.
Multrees Investor Services, a provider of outsourced custody, execution and trading, investment administration and services, has appointed David Harrand and Martyn Johnson as the firm continues to expand.
Harrand has joined the group as business development manager and Johnson is moving into the role of chief technology officer, the firm said in a statement. In his new role, he will be responsible for building client relationships and helping to increase the firm’s growth.
Harrand has previously been a relationship manager, an account director and worked in business development in the financial services sector, most recently with trading services firm SIX Securities Services. He was also a relationship manager at Pershing where he managed clients and developed new revenue streams.
Harrand said: “I am delighted to be joining such a dynamic business at an exciting time in its development. I look forward to working closely with new and existing Multrees clients in the coming months.”
Johnson has been appointed as the firm’s new chief transformation officer. With 23 years industry experience, including most recently fund services at JP Morgan, Johnson has been leading strategic transformation programmes at blue chip companies for more than half of his career, the firm continued.
As the new CTO, he will be responsible for setting and delivering the firm's technology roadmap covering cyber security, infrastructure and application development.
Johnson said " This is an incredible opportunity at an exciting time for Multrees. We have made a great start to 2023 and have big plans to drive forward our technology offering".
Multrees chief commercial officer Andrew Back added: “David has an impressive record in driving sales and building long-lasting client relationships within prestigious financial companies.”
