Multi-manager firm Investment Solutions has hired Majid Khan as co-portfolio manager based in its London office.

In his new role Mr Khan focuses primarily on Investment Solutions’ recently launched multi-strategy fund as well as the Select World Equity fund.

“His wealth of experience will enhance an already strong investment team and I look forward to Majid’s contribution in driving Investment Solutions forward,” said chief executive Justin Taurog.

Mr Khan joins investment solutions from London-based Berry Asset Management, where he was senior research analyst responsible for the fund selection and investment of over £700 million ($994 million) across multiple asset classes. 

He has also previously worked as a fund analyst at Standard & Poor’s, and as a specialist head-hunter within the private equity and corporate finance sectors.

Investment Solutions has offices in the UK, the Channel Islands, Namibia and South Africa. The firm is part of the Alexander Forbes Group, which has global assets under management in excess of £9 billion through its Investment Solutions subsidiary companies (as at 31 March, 2008), of which over £1.2 billion is managed in the UK.
