MSSB Hires UBS Team, Deutsche Bank Advisors

Morgan Stanley Smith Barney has hired a number of new advisors, including a team from UBS Wealth Management Americas, according to Dow Jones.

The hires include Jonathan Klausner and John Duffy, who have joined MSSB’s Indianapolis, IN office from the UBS unit, along with other team members Derek Disalvo, a financial advisor, and client service associates Jenny Margason and Caryn Wilkinson.

The team reports to Kathy Birk, Indiana complex manager, and Kenneth Langston, branch manager, and generated $4 million in fees and commissions over the past 12 months and managed $650 million in client assets, according to the newswire.

In other hires from UBS, James Flood and Michael Romer have joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney’s Melville, NY office, the report says, reporting to Dino Carfora, Suffolk County complex manager. The team had $1.7 million in annual production and $213 million in assets under management.

Meanwhile, MSSB has brought in Marc Richman and Brian Bernhardt in Philadelphia, PA from Deutsche Bank. The team reports to complex manager Richard Frick and previously had annual production of around $3 million and $500 million assets under management, according to the newswire.

Morgan Stanley Smith Barney had not confirmed the hires at the time of publication.
