MSSB Adds 11 Advisors At Start Of 2012

Morgan Stanley Smith Barney has added 11 advisors managing $1.7 billion in combined client assets at their previous firms, media reports said.
The advisors, including two at the US firm’s ultra-high-net-worth private wealth group, came from UBS, Wells Fargo, Oppenheimer and Bank of America's Merrill Lynch.
In New York, the firm hired Jason Haberman, Robert Brevetti and William Collins from UBS, where they had worked for the last seven years. The three advisors, who last year generated $3.4 million in revenue, joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney's Midtown Manhattan office last week. They report to complex manager Ben Firestein.
Also in New York, the firm hired Robert Reuben from Oppenheimer, where he had been for more than two decades. Reuben generated about $1.2 million in revenue last year and managed $104 million in client assets. Reuben reports to branch manager Dave Turetzky.
In New Mexico, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney has hired Clovis Martin, Edward Jordan and Antonio Almaraz from Wells Fargo. The three had generated more than $2.4 million in revenue last year and managed more than $200 million in client assets.
They joined the firm's Albuquerque office and report to complex manager Thomas Kovach.
Don Gill and William LaRosa joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Birmingham, Michigan, from Merrill Lynch. The two generated $2.9 million in revenue last year and managed about $470 million in client assets. They report to complex manager George Manuelian.
Morgan Stanley Smith Barney also added two new private wealth advisors. Scott Fortney and Grant Fortney joined Morgan Stanley from Merrill Lynch, where they managed $885 million in client assets. They generated $8.4 million in revenue last year. They now report to regional manager Arthur Kieval.
