Morgan Stanley PWM Hires Hedge Fund Luminary

Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management has recruited Pierre-David Bertin from Société Générale to take up the post of hedge fund specialist and vice president in product development and the alternatives group.
In his new role, which is based in London, Bertin will focus on the marketing of hedge funds to and with the bank's investment advisors. He will also be the main point of contact for any hedge fund-related queries and act as a consultant to the investment group for hedge fund allocations within the multi-asset class portfolio.
While at SocGen, Bertin held several roles within the firm’s corporate and investment banking business. Most recently he worked in derivative sales, where his responsibilities included the design of cross-asset investment products and hedge fund derivative sales. Before this he was responsible for hedge fund advisory sales to UK- and Swiss-based senior relationships at Lyxor Asset Management.
