Morgan Stanley Investment Management Names New Head Of London Discretionary

Morgan Stanley's investment management arm has hired from Columbia Threadneedle to help boost its UK market presence.

Morgan Stanley Investment Management has appointed Daniel Hawkes as head of London discretionary and Channel Islands distribution. 

He joins the London team from Columbia Threadneedle, where he was discretionary sales manager. He previously worked at Cofunds and Fidelity, according to his LinkedIn profile.
 
“It is a fantastic hire that will build on presence in the UK wholesale/discretionary market,” said Morgan Stanley Investment Management's head of UK and Ireland discretionary business, Rob Lunn.
 
Last month, Morgan Stanley made senior appointments within its US private wealth management business, including Vince Lumia as head of private wealth management, Elizabeth Dennis as head of capital markets for the brokerage division and Jim Tracy as vice chairman.
