Morgan Stanley Investment Management Names Global Asset Allocation Head

Morgan Stanley Investment Management has appointed Cyril Moulle-Berteaux as managing director and head of the global asset allocation team.
Moulle-Berteaux steps in from the hedge fund firm Traxis Partners, which he co-founded. He rejoins MSIM after working with the company from 1995 to 2003 as head of asset allocation, head of asset allocation research and a research analyst.
Going forwards, he will assume the day-to-day management responsibilities for all investment vehicles under the long-only business. He takes over from Henry McVey, who has been appointed head of global macro and allocation at KKR & Co, and reports to Ruchir Sharma, head of emerging markets equity.
His return marks the second significant re-hire for the firm's long-only business in 2011. In February, Ashutosh Sinha rejoined MSIM as managing director and senior portfolio manager in the global emerging markets equity team in Singapore. MSIM recorded around $284 billion in assets under management as of 31 March.
