Morgan Stanley, Kairos Investment Management Launch Long/Short European Fund

Morgan Stanleyhas partnered with UK-based Kairos Investment Management, to launch a new UCITS fund focusing on pan-European equities using a long/short equity strategy.

Morgan Stanley has partnered with UK-based Kairos Investment Management, to launch a new UCITS fund focusing on pan-European equities using a long/short equity strategy under its FundLogic Alternatives umbrella.

The MS Karios Enhanced Selection UCITS Fund provides exposure to Kairos’ fundamental research capabilities and risk mitigation approach, the US bank said.

“Focusing on pan-European equities, this long/short equity strategy is a powerful combination of fundamental bottom-up research and dynamic management of the portfolio’s risk exposure” said Stephane Berthet, head of the FundLogic Alternatives Platform at Morgan Stanley.

“The new fund will enhance the risk- return objective of our Kairos Selection Fund, providing a complementary offering to the unlevered strategy and thus allowing us to cater to the full spectrum of investor requirements”, said Stefano Prosperi, chief executive of Kairos Investment Management.

FundLogic is the brand name for Morgan Stanley’s fund solutions platform launched in 2006 and currently has $2.7 billion in assets under management, offering UCITS investors a diversified range of 20 funds.

Kairos Investment Management is part of Milan-headquartered Kairos Partners SGR.
