Monaco Looks To PR To Rebuild Image - Report

Monaco has taken on three public relations experts to help it shed its image as an international tax haven, officials told Dow Jones.

The principality was removed from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's blacklist of financial centres earlier this year but is still on a G20 "grey list."

Officials in Prince Albert II's administration are quoted by the news service as saying: "The principality has said it hopes to leave the grey list of tax havens by the start of 2010, that is when we need to be ready to change our reputation."

Pollster Stephane Rozes, ex-journalist Jean-Luc Mano and advertising consultant Regis Lefebvre of Young and Rubicam will be masterminding Monaco's new cleaner image.
