Mirabaud Makes Major Marketing Hire From Swiss Rival

Mirabaud Asset Management, part of Geneva-based Mirabaud & Cie, has appointed Patrick Stauffer to oversee the marketing of funds and mandates to financial intermediaries and institutional clients in German-speaking Switzerland.
Stauffer was latterly regional head at Pictet & Cie, where he had been responsible for the development and marketing of its asset management services in various European countries for 12 years. In his prior career he worked for Julius Baer Investment Funds and UBS.
In his new role Stauffer will be working closely with Matthias Schroedter, who joined Mirabaud in 2010, and will be focusing in particular on equity funds and institutional mandates.
In other recent hires at the group, last month Mirabaud appointed Pierre Pinel as chief investment officer for balanced mandates and asset allocation funds in its asset management division. He is also head strategist for private management. Pinel joined Mirabaud after 18 years with BNP Paribas’ asset management business.
