Mirabaud Hires For Global Equities Team

Mirabaud Investment Management has hired Alex Illingworth to join its new global equities team.

Illingworth’s career includes roles at other well-known private wealth institutions such as C Hoare & Co, UBS, Rothschild Asset Management and Insight Investment Management.

“This is a significant appointment for Mirabaud Investment Management…[Illingworth’s] arrival marks an important step in the development of our global equities team, the head of which will be announced on 1 April next year,” said Giles Morland, managing director of Mirabaud London.

Mirabaud Investment Management, part of the Mirabaud group’s asset management division, operates from London, Geneva, Paris and Zurich. It offers fund management services in UK and European equities and at the end of last year had £3.1 billion ($4.7 billion) in assets under management. With this appointment it is adding global equities to its capabilities.

Mirabaud recently expanded in Spain through the acquisition of a 25 per cent stake in Spanish brokerage and research firm Venture Finanzas, which is now part of the Mirabaud brand.

The private bank remains a personally liable partnership; it had around £15 billion in assets under management at the end of last year and operates across 14 offices internationally.
