Reporting to Dan Sontag, head of Merrill's global wealth management business, Dupuy will manage Merrill's retail financial products and with additional responsibility for manager due diligence, portfolio construction and investment implementation.

Prior to running U.S. distribution, Dupuy was COO for Merrill's U.S. banking business.

In other Merrill moves, the wirehouse recently poached four advisors from UBS. Timothy Hickman was recruited from the Swiss bank for Merrill's Houston office; John Haselton, Jason Patrick and Robert Anderson have joined Merrill in Cool Springs, Tenn. -FWR
