Merrill Lynch Hires Three For French Wealth Management Business

Bank of America Merrill Lynch has bolstered its French wealth management business with three new hires.

Nicolas Beyaert has joined the firm as a financial advisor, having previously been with Lombard Odier's private banking business for six years. Prior to this, he was a principal and investment specialist at wealth management boutique Beo Finance, which he co-founded with four partners.

News of Mr Beyaert’s recruitment follows the recent appointments of Arthur de Mortemart and Jerome Sack.

Mr Mortemart, who was previously responsible for the development of advisory portfolio management at Banque Robeco, has joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management as a vice president specialising in advising ultra high net worth families.

Mr Sack, meanwhile, has been with Merrill Lynch since 1993, and in 1997 launched the firm’s institutional equity business in France. In his new role Mr Sack primarily works with the chief executives of listed companies.

All three appointees are now based in Paris, reporting to Gilles Dard, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management’s head of Continental Europe.
