Martin Currie Names New Head For Asia-Pacific Fund

Martin Currie, the Edinburgh-based equity fund manager, has appointed Andrew Graham as the co-manager of its Asia-Pacific fund, a “high-conviction” portfolio fund.

The fund, a UK OIEC and Luxembourg SICAV, is comprised of what the firm views as the best 40 to 60 stock ideas, and is aimed at investors wanting to tap into the Asia story.

Graham, who was previously a portfolio manager for Asia, will work alongside existing managers Jason McCay and Richard Evans. Before joining Martin Currie in 2010, Graham managed Asia-Pacific equities for Putman Investments and Sofaer Capital.

Investment in Asia has counted for around 50 per cent of Martin Currie’s assets under management, totalling some £5.5 billion (around $9 billion).
