The firm, which operates via Maples Fund Services and Maples Fiduciary Services, will provide a comprehensive suite of services related to fund administration, corporate formation and fiduciary needs.
Maples Fund Services (Singapore) will focus on providing middle office, data aggregation and reporting and fund administration services to Singapore-domiciled funds established by family offices, private wealth managers and institutional investors. Under the leadership of Eastern Fong, regional head of fund services - Asia, it will also support Cayman Islands funds.
Maples Fiduciary (Singapore) will focus on company formation, registered office, company secretarial, client accounting, voluntary liquidations and directorship services for Singapore entities. In addition, the team will provide director services for Cayman, Hong Kong and British Virgin Islands-domiciled entities where an Asian time zone presence is needed. It will be led by Hugh Thompson, global co-head of fiduciary.
Both divisions are located in the same office building as affiliate law firm, Maples and Calder (Singapore).
"The proximity of the MaplesS and Maples and Calder teams... ensures a synergistic approach to the offerings in Singapore," said the firm in a statement.
