Maples and Calder, the UK offshore legal firm, has been granted approval by the Irish Stock Exchange to offer full listing services for funds and bond issuers seeking a listing in Dublin. M&C said the deal adds listing and paying agency services to the traditional range of legal and administration services it already offers. Following the recent merger of M&C with Binchys, Dublin-based corporate finance firm, Irish law became another capacity in which to advise clients in other offshore jurisdictions, such as the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dubai, Hong Kong and Jersey. Anthony Travers, a senior partner at the firm, said: “We have followed the development of the Dublin market over a number of years and believe it provides an attractive base to strengthen our capacity to offer services to hedge funds, mutual funds, private equity and structured finance. In Binchys, there is no doubt the chemistry was right and we have now established a comprehensive global platform.”
